I saw someone with an account full of these...motivational poster parodies just today, got a kick out of it, an idea popped straight into my idea, here we are.
I have no interest in arguing about the content. This was just an easy way to express how I feel about this "character".
I think someone actually made one of these with Kursed already, but I didn't agree with its message.
Now to explain...how shall I put this...
Well, you know that episode of "The Simpsons", where Lisa gets tired of the sexism in her Malibu Stacy dolls, so she teams up with the original creator to make a brand new doll that's a more positive role model? They make Lisa Lionheart, they go on sale in the toy store, and JUST when all the little girls come rushing to buy it, they bring out a new Malibu Stacy doll--and it's not even really new, it's just the same damn thing WITH A NEW HAT! And all the girls go and buy that crappy doll instead?
(Lucy would be the Lisa Lionheart in that situation, by the way)
...If this still makes no sense, then I simply mean that, at least in these parts, Krystal seems to monopolize the fandom, and Kursed, awful as that was, only added momentum to it. There were good parts to Command, and decent characters were added (or improved, in Katt's case), but no one even cares to notice because they're too busy praising Kursed, the "badass". I for one, am not impressed by Krystal's sheer loss of integrity, and I hate that this one ending overshadows everything else about the game.
(In all fairness, Kursed doesn't seem to be nearly as popular among Japanese fans...but as long as there's ten Kursed fan pictures for every...half one of Lucy, I'll remain pissed )
This will be put in scraps soon...but I know only two people bother to look in my scraps, and I wanted you all to know my opinion on Kursed. I'm vindictive like that
EDIT-Replaced official game art with a five minute sketch of mine, so that it is no longer art theft, and changed the "motivation"...actually, I think this illustrates my point a little better.
I cannot help how the fans react or see me. I never wanted attention. I just wanted to get away from the drama that leaving Starfox brought. Seems if you defy a hero, everyone will hate you or build you up for what you are not.
Don't even know if you still read these comments or are still even using the account to any degree, but still I shall voice my opinion.
I've noticed that you hate this new character because it is too drastic from the previous games... quite frankly its called originality to some degree on Nintendo's behalf. People love this character alot because they seen this seemingly innocent character (completely out of place in the starfox series to begin with) suddenly turn into a self-exiled deeply depressed person. It's a huge leap in character and if you hadn't noticed they kind of set the whole thing up from the start of Krystal's character in a way. She starts out trying to help people and ends up needing to be saved herself, fox saves her. Then she becomes an arwing pilot and tries to help people, like all the f***ing characters in starfox needing help over the stupidest s***, fox saves the day. He forces Krystal to leave the team, not break up with him, to protect her from being in a situation where he can't save her(as previously said) and she gets hurt. Krystal feels betrayed and confused and decides HERSELF to break up with fox and "disappears" to join Star Wolf. Hint Hint: Panther hit on her in assault on two different occasions was it? She possibly left to go try and feel loved with panther after fox's betrayal, Though I can only speculate on that. After such a scaring incident as someone who says they will NEVER leave you, forcing you to leave because they are afraid you aren't safe enough, could bring up extreme determination to try and show fox up at his own game and prove him wrong.(a counter to an argument I saw below).
And hey, It's been established by Nintendo already that the next StarFox game will be for Wii u (an oversized Wii that goes handheld mode or attach to a normal Wii to go on TV -stupidest f***ing invention ever because it still runs off Wii games and is a slightly larger Wii in design - only incorporating a Screen and no tv plug-ins but instead plugs into a normal Wii) with the Wii-Mote a way to fly the Arwing and etc(Nintendo is making their own PS VITA). AND that it will continue about halfway through the general storyline of StarFox:Command, meaning Krystal becomes the cold hearted bitch you hate, but quite possibly not the Recluse that Kursed is. Nintendo tried something new by going off the usual "every video game course" and there are people like you who call it Blasphemy to the series as a whole.
BTW all the endings in Command were all completely made up on the spot and don't have much integrity, if any, for the ending of the new game. Knowing Nintendo... They will probably do their stereotypical nonsense and I'll roughly outline what it will more then likely look like:
Fox and friends save the day. Krystal has a chance to stay with Star Fox or go with Star Wolf. She has a prolonged pause to build up drama and then decides to stay with Star Fox, and Wolf, out of character(like usual) will be supportive of her decision(much like he went out of Character and saved fox then helped him in the end of Assault). Dumbsh*t the toad(slippy) will have his frog wife Amanda. Falco, just to make it a happier ending like Nintendo always wants for its viewers(except when they let Q-Games do their own thing with Command) will have Falco more then likely get with Katt in a non-in-your-face way. Pappy will miraculously escape unscathed yet again. Every character will be represented in a good fashion, except Pepper who they might try and slip him out of the series during the game itself since he nolonger plays a pivotal roll and is quite obviously dying. As said before Q-Games probably gave Nintendo the idea for Dash's rebellion on Corneria or and set up the foundations for a sequel(which hopefully at that point won't happen because and I can poke holes through the series at Adventures to current, I don't think they need to make an already "generally weak as a whole series" even weaker by adding more ontop with possible exception to a re-finished Command. Or they might just leave it at the cliffhanger and leave fans to imagine(which seems to have worked so far with most of their games).
I doubt any such children born of the characters will be introduced at any time. Example: Every "Original" Nintendo Game.
Only reason they are choosing to "redo" the game halfway through is because they liked the intro, and the first bit... but saw the endings and their reaction was probably like most others and went "What the f***". Nintendo has never really done a variable ending for a game because it has been proven in countless other games where the series(if it lasts that long) has no continuity from the last game to the next, esp. when the endings are so drastically different like Commands were.
I'm looking forward to a response from someone if it ever happens, hopefully the creator of said image of quality that makes these emoticons look like an artistic masterpiece.
P.S. I recently found out about "Kursed" from wanting to play StarFox Command on my Computer(via emulator) but gave up when it was Intensely boring and the gameplay not really dynamic or interesting in anyway to me, but decided to watch the ending(to my surprise there was 9) and the "Kursed" ending caught me completely off guard but I grew to understand it more as I took a moment to think about it. I did more research and etc and discovered multiple failed projects of obsessive fan's who take the smallest information and base their lives off it trying to make a game of "Kursed" The theory itself makes sense to me in a way except I am still wanting to punch whoever made up the "flees to a distant galaxy part" for defying the laws of the universe in proposing you can freely and upon the slightest whim travel between even the farthest galaxies. Unless you can create some sort of propulsion device that gets you going thousands of times the speed of light (which would quite literally Atomically rip you, and whatever is moving with you, into pieces smaller then atoms) AND doesn't need fuel, then its not happening. Oh and you need to somehow stay warm without a major heatsource and have ample supplies. The part I dislike the most about it is that she did this in an Arwing that she promptly modified sometime after arrival. I can see maybe different parts of the same galaxy over a reasonably long period of time but other then that its just blown way out of proportion, like your hatred of Kursed.
Unimportant Characters tend to go unnoticed you need to realize. Like when people only recognize 1-or very few people who work on videogames/movies and get all the credit Whilst there is an army of the unseen who made it possible behind them that no-one knows.
I am not a new character. I'm just not the naive blue vixen that Fox found on Sauria. I am not depressed-It just took time to adjust to what had happened but I've accepted now. I had my whole world destroyed and when I thought I had something I could hold on to, it was taken away again. I do not and never will love Panther. He was just a tool at that time to keep up with Fox's whereabouts. Who else but Starwolf could keep up with him? I never broke up with Fox. I did leave, but I went to Corneria to train first.
*At next to last comment field*: We have warp gates, ya know? Remember at the start of the aparoid invasion when we came through one with the Greatfox and then the one where it took us to the aparoid homeworld? But no-A arwing could never fly all the way across the universe w/o a large abundance of fuel and a good heat source, I agree.
Not really sure why Ruhtards on the internet seem to think making an account with the name of a character makes them that character and they talk like it, So I'm disregarding that first paragraph as biased information you created yourself since no information is given on that subject.
Yes, Because Teleportation is perfectly viable... When I saw that in StarFox Assault I wanted to punch the TV screen. There are some things in the Universe that will NEVER be done, like teleporting instantly to places with no "other fixed side" to the device. Travelling through Black space, not happening. Teleporting, for the love of reality it will never happen in even the greatest scientists mind with any technology. Black Holes are speculated to be able to "teleport" objects to different locations/dimensions but I do not believe so because its an object of huge mass and uncomprehensible density. Fall in and you become part of the mass, not teleported. Because I went off topic in blowing a hole through a possible other explanation of how she got there, I will say it again. Warp Gates are an impossible invention, No Technology EVER will have the ability to do so. The only way to effectively "teleport" would be if you were disassembled in 1 place and assembled in the other instantaniously by another device, not travel through a big green wall of light.
And Hey, I noticed you very recently made this account, very, very recently. What did you do, make it up on the spot to comment on "Krystal Gone Recluse" pictures or even this comment in specific then go off to others?
I will never understand how foolish and childish the people of the internet are, thinking they are what they cannot be. I should round-up you internet jockeys and have you shot for treason against yourself. No Matter how hard you claim it, No matter how hard you try... You are not Kursed. None of your ask(fictional character here) are who they try to be.
((Most of what I said was true- 1. She is not a new character, she already existed. 2. It never said Krystal was depressed as Kursed, she left because she was hurt, which is a very different emotion. 3. Her planet was destroyed and she was forcibly kicked out of Starfox-even says so at the beginning of the game. 4. She wore a Cornerian helmet, much like Bill's, when Fox saw her again. Now, she could have stole it but knowing her personality, she earned it is the most likely answer. 5. Starwolf always ends up against or helping Fox at some point-If you remember n64/assault anyhow.
But are you actually trying to place reality terms on a game where anthromorphs drive ships through space while fighting lizards, monkeys, and a giant floating monkey brain or fish species that evolved in less than say, 5 years? Especially with giant armadas of ships that house majorly destructive weapons? Or the fish-like creatures that evolved said technology under the water that somehow knows how to fly over the planet's surface where they have never been? Hell, why not also jump on the fact arwings could never dive underwater?
I actually just made this for fun. I know I am not Kursed but I'm not sure why you are upset. It does not effect you in any shape/way/or form. Is your name jebus-kriest in real life? Is that on your birth certificate? Right. But really, you talk about people being childish and yet you're the one getting upset over nothing that will have no bearing on your life to the point of wanting to kill people over it.
But anyway-I'm done. This reminds me of that poster "Remember kids, arguing over the internet is like the special olympics. No matter who wins, you're both still retarded."))
Shocking to see your not as the first reply threw in my face, that you were a wannabe over a non-canon character. So what did the first bit have to do with anything? "((Most of what I said was true- 1. She is not a new character, she already existed. 2. Thanks for stating the obvious Captain. But this doesn't especially support your first comment where you spoke like you were her, and a psychotic on medication.
I have a tendency to force some kind of reality into everything.
"Especially with giant armadas of ships that house majorly destructive weapons?" Have you even played ANY other games? The weapons in StarFox are just weak compared to even what we have now in this age. And giant armadas? From what I saw those looked more like scouting parties rather then armadas.
"But really, you talk about people being childish and yet you're the one getting upset over nothing that will have no bearing on your life to the point of wanting to kill people over it"
No bearing on my life... Nintendo made/popularized what is now called "Furries"... A horrible abomination for basement dwellers to get-off to and devolve the human species into. I find that offensive as human.
Oh and hey at least I'm not pretending to be Jesus. Look it up, Kursed was made for a Non-canon game ending. Therefore she will not exist in the StarFox game series storyline, but then people fight with all they have(which is nothing) for her to be considered a real character in the series.
You kind of made it an arguement I just. Your first paragraph is still a Biased assumption after given your points because they do not develop her character whatso ever except the one I didn't know about her training on Corneria. All that did was polish my point of her wanting to show fox she can defend herself after him saving her multiple times.
You know, it just occurred to me the other day: if Krystal has telepathy and what not, then shouldn't Krystal have sensed Fox's feelings and intentions on breaking up with her or whatever? Or did the writer "conveniently" forget that?
