SF-Real Men Wear...

I couldn't upload this as early as I wanted to (troubles with my scanner), but Happy St. Patrick's Day all the same.

I've never actually done a "holiday" picture, even though I've always wanted to. It's always a matter of willpower and time, but, I am about 75% Irish, and...I figured this was the most appropriate time, since Super Smash Brothers Brawl, which features both Fox McCloud and Wolf O'Donnell, came to the USA in March.

In case you don't get the joke, both Fox and his partly competent yet equally hunky archrival Wolf both have Irish surnames. So here they are, in the spirit of the holiday, in kilts with mugs of beer in hand. I'm actually kind of surprised this joke has never been done before...and no, Highlander references don't count. I know McCloud and MacCloud sound similar, but I'm fairly certain the latter is Scottish.

If you're wondering why these two would be palling around--and I know it IS very out of character--I imagine it'd be like in cartoons where heroes and villians call a truce on Christmas...except not. But yeah, this was just done for some lulz anyway.

To make up for the crappy anatomy and all around silliness, I added a peanut gallery of the dreaded "chibis". Sorry, but I could only fit in those five characters. Please don't take offense if you're a Panther fan but...well, it was too hard to pass up. I could just imagine Fox getting a good buzz going and he'd have a few choice words and such for the people who give him a hard time.

I had fun making silly stuff like this, so I hope you enjoy it. I used a couple of references for the outfits. After seeing some...upkilt photos, I actually found some very nice ones. I was going for a more...contemporary style; no puffy shirts and bagpipes here. I imagined Fox would dress a bit classier, and Wolf looks like more of a punk.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, Wolf's shirt says, "I've been a bad dog". There's no hidden meaning behind it...I just thought his shirt was kind of...blank.
